Double Regulating Valves
Double Regulating Valve:
Peter Smith Valve Fig.BV307 Bronze (Gunmetal Double Regulating Valve) 15mm-50mm bore flanged, and Fig.BV203 Cast Iron Double Regulating Valve 65mm-200mm bore flanged.
What is a Double Regulating Valve?:
These are Y-Pattern Oblique globe valves supplied with two pressure test points to provide flow measurement, regulation and isolation.
The Double Regulating feature allows the valve to be used for isolation and to be reopened to its pre-set position to maintain required flow rate; and regulation.
Primarily used in a ring main piping circuit requiring double regulating valves for the system balancing and commissioning of heating systems.
How the valve works:
Our Fig.BV307 & BV203 are manually operated by handwheel and the opening of the valve is set at commissioning by a locking device to control the flow through the valve. The valve can be closed by manually operating the handwheel to isolate the flow through the valve.
Typical uses and applications the valve is used in:
Double Regulating Valves may be found in fluid regulating & industrial heating systems.
They can be used in High Temperature Hot Water (HTHW), Medium Temperature Hot Water (MTHW), Low Temperature Hot water (LTHW) and Cold ‘clean’ water applications.
